Verdict
For a budget, average user, the Sony WF-C500 Truly Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds seem okay with excellent sound output and multiple unique features that help enhance the user experience. The DSEE, Sony App support, IPX4 Rating, and stable internet connectivity make the buds awesome to own and plug into your ears. However, there are compromises made to the Sony WF-C500 earbuds, making them vulnerable to real competition from its rival brands such as JBL, Soundcore, Oraimo, OnePlus, Aker, and Bose for the budget and mid-range wireless buds arena. Lack of ANC, no wireless charging, and an inferior IP rating give other brands’ models such as JBL Tune 130NC TWS, Under Armour Streak, JBL Wave Beam, OnePlus Nord Buds, Soundcore Life DOT 3i an advantage.
