Books The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (Author), Richard Howard (Translator) in A-haunted-house

The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, translated by Richard Howard, is a beloved novella that tells the story of a young prince from a tiny asteroid called B-612 who travels to different planets. The tale begins when a pilot crashes in the Sahara Desert and meets the little prince, who asks him to draw a sheep. As they become friends, the prince shares stories of his home planet and his love for a vain but unique rose.

During his travels, the prince encounters various eccentric adults on other asteroids—a king, a conceited man, a drunkard, a businessman, a lamplighter, and a geographer—each embodying narrow-minded adult behaviors. On Earth, he meets a wise fox who teaches him about love, responsibility, and seeing with the heart rather than the eyes. The story explores themes of innocence, loneliness, friendship, love, and the critique of adult rationality through simple yet profound philosophical reflections.
