Phone overview
The Shenzhen-based smartphone company introduced its latest Smart 5 smartphone. It comes with fast-charging 10W for the 5000 mAh battery, as well as an aggressive price tag for its midrange specs and features. It arrives in three colors – Ocean Wave, Quetzal Cyan, and Midnight Black. There are two price tags for Smart 5 as well for the different memory variants.
Gem Cut Texture Design
The unique gem cut texture design of Infinix Smart 5 arrives in four color options. These are Ocean Wave, Quetzal Cyan, and Midnight Black. Beautiful is not the word to describe the looks of this phone. We would rather use the word appealing instead of it. Infinix goes ahead to add, “Appealing to the youthful spirit and amplifying the series’ positioning.”. It has these dimensions 165.4 x 76.4 x 8.8 mm and it weighs about 183 grams. This design also brings with it a security feature with it in the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Now you can secure your files by locking your device via fingerprint or face unlock technology.
Mega display
The correct wording is A Whole New Display for Unlimited Fun. I find no other better way of describing the 6.6″ HD+ Infinity-O display of Smart 5. It is called Infinity-O because it has that latest trending display of punch-hole on it that expands its surface area and improves the viewing experience. And being a 6.6″ size screen you get to enjoy watching the video and even playing games on such a wide and large estate. It has that tall 20:9 ratio and 720x 1600 pixels resolution on this IPS panel. I must add that this resolution count could have been higher, even its ~266 PPI density. But still, you are getting a phone with support for 16M colors.
Sound DTS Sound
Infinix Smart 5 speakers are enhanced with DTS Sound. This DTS is an object-based audio standard, which means that sound sources are tagged with a location in a 3D space, rather than being pre-mixed into 5.1 or 7.1 channels [Source Android Authority]. To put it simply, it allows you to personalize sound effects so that you enjoy better sound quality experiences in movies, music, and gaming. You may also like Pour 3 Plus.
Platform and performance
When we say an optimized Operating system, what we mean is the new XOS 6 embedded with the latest Android 10. That is to say, it has been built on top of Android. Yes! Infinix Smart 5 comes with Android 10 out of the box. Besides these, you will also be glad to learn that this phone has a system-wide Dark Mode. This mode will also be triggered when you turn on the battery save mode.
