Verdict
For its price, the HMD Pulse Pro is certainly a bargain as a mid-range smartphone. Greatly improved compared to the HMD Pulse base and Pulse+ models, the Pulse Pro comes with loads of premium features and specs that make it more competitive, attractive, and worth considering. A more premium build, a 50MP main camera and a 50MP selfie camera, a 90Hz display, better storage specifications, repairability and replacement of parts, a 5000mAh battery and 20W fast charging make it a great phone for its retail price.
However, the large battery makes it bulkier, and overheating issues may make you reconsider. Besides, the 720p resolution reduces the appeal of the device, compared to competing brands within the price segment. Overall, the HMD Pulse Pro offers a compelling package with significant enhancements over the standard model. It is the best of the HMD Pulse smartphones and offers more value that matches its higher price compared to the Pulse and Pulse+ Models.
