TP-Link TL-SG2428P

The TP-Link TL-SG2428P is a 28-port Gigabit Ethernet Smart Switch designed for small to medium-sized businesses that require efficient network management and Power over Ethernet (PoE) capabilities.

Features

Port Configuration:

• The switch offers a total of 28 Ethernet ports, all of which support Gigabit speeds (10/100/1000Mbps).
• Out of these 28 ports, 24 ports are equipped with Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) capabilities. This means they can provide both data connectivity and electrical power to compatible PoE-enabled devices, such as IP cameras, wireless access points, and P phones.

Smart Management:

• The switch is part of TP-Link’s JetStream series, which indicates its advanced management features.
• It supports various smart management functions, including QoS (Quality of Service), VLAN (Virtual LAN) support, link aggregation, and IGMP Snooping, which help optimize network performance and provide better traffic control.

Easy Configuration:

• The switch comes with a user-friendly web-based interface that allows administrators to easily configure and manage network settings.
• It also supports command-line interface (CLI) access for more advanced users who prefer command-based configurations.

Security Features:

• The TL-SG2428P provides enhanced network security through features like Port Security, Storm Control, and 802.1X authentication. These features help safeguard the network against unauthorized access and potential threats.

Energy Efficiency:

• The switch incorporates energy-saving technologies to reduce power consumption, which can contribute to lower operating costs over time.

Fanless Design:

• The switch is designed to operate without a fan, which helps reduce noise and increases its reliability.

Rack-Mountable:

• The switch is designed for rack-mount installation, making it suitable for server rooms or network closets.

PoE+ Benefits:

• With 24 PoE+ ports, the switch eliminates the need for separate power sources for compatible devices, simplifying installation and maintenance.
• PoE+ provides higher power output compared to standard PoE, allowing the switch to support a broader range of devices.
