Description

This book is a compilation of meditations drawn from the sermons of Saint John Henry Newman, a renowned preacher and theologian. Edited to serve as a compact spiritual guide, it invites readers to journey through the liturgical seasons of Advent and Christmas, preparing for the coming of the Lord. Newman’s masterful knowledge of Catholic doctrine, the lives of the saints, and Sacred Scripture allows him to provide profound daily reflections on themes such as preparing for Christ’s nativity and his return at the end of time, our dependence on God’s goodness, and the universal call to holiness. The book is designed to help readers escape the distractions of the holiday season and focus on a more intimate relationship with Christ, fostering a spirit of waiting, watching, and joyful anticipation.
