Design and Display
The first thing to catch your eye is the unique back panel design of the V27e, with a hologram finish in Lavender Purple and Glory Black variants. The frosted-feather aesthetic gives the phone a texture that makes it less slippery and less prone to fingerprints, which is a plus. The chamfered frame and rounded camera bump add to the design’s aesthetic appeal. The phone is rated for IP54 ingress protection against dust and water, providing limited dust protection and protection from sprays of water from any direction.
The vivo V27e comes with a 6.62-inch FHD+ AMOLEDscreen on top of it you will find a 120 Hz refresh rate, with a punch-hole notch for the selfie camera and thin bezels all around. Its AMOLED technology provides perfect color vibrancy and rich viewing angles, even under direct sunlight. The phone has an under-screen fingerprint sensor at the bottom of the display. Users have the option to either dynamically shift the refresh rate depending on the content being displayed or to set it at 120 Hz or 60 Hz at all times.
The V27e is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 chip, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. Basic tasks like social media and browsing websites work fine but start to lag when switching between apps. Even with 8GB of RAM, apps running in the background get killed or reset quickly. Playing graphically-intense games like Genshin Impact may not be ideal, as the phone’s performance will buckle under pressure. The phone’s under-display fingerprint sensor is fast and reliable, though.
The vivo V27e is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G99 chip, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. However, the phone doesn’t feel particularly fast in everyday use, as the 120 Hz screen can cause navigation to feel slow and jittery. Basic tasks such as browsing websites and using social media are manageable, but switching between apps can cause noticeable performance issues, with background apps being killed or reset frequently.
Users looking to play more graphically-intensive games such as Genshin Impact may want to consider other options, as the phone’s FPS drops to less than 15 when battling monsters or using abilities that require more graphics. The under-display fingerprint sensor at the bottom of the screen is fast and reliable, making it easy to access the device.
Overall, while the vivo V27e can handle most tasks decently, such as using Facebook, watching TikTok, playing mobile legends, and using messaging apps like Facebook Messenger or Telegram, it may not feel quick or snappy in the process.
The V27 series’ headline feature is the camera. The V27e has a triple camera setup, with a 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The main camera provides high-quality photos with vivid colors and sharp details. The ultra-wide camera performs decently, while the macro camera is a nice addition. The selfie camera is a 44-megapixel shooter that captures selfies with natural-looking skin tones and vibrant colors.
The V27e boasts a camera feature called the “ Aura_Potrait_Algorithm. ,” which uses hardware and software optimizations to enhance portrait and night shots. We put this feature to the test but found that the results were mixed. We tested the V27e’s three main modes – regular photo, Portrait Mode, and Portrait Mode with the Aura light on – in low-light scenarios. Unfortunately, we found that the subject was often out of focus, resulting in blurry and unusable photos. However, when the Aura Portrait Algorithm worked, the results were impressive.
The main camera’s photos are decent, with good color and no over-brightening. The 2x Zoom is also noteworthy, as it allows for zooming in on the subject without sacrificing detail. However, there is no ultrawide option, which may be a drawback for some users.
Overall, the V27e’s camera system has the potential to produce pocket studio-quality portraits, but the lack of consistency and poor focus hold it back. If the cameras were more reliable and the focus was better, the V27e could have been a great camera-centric phone, especially considering its price point.
The V27e is equipped with WiFi capabilities for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, as well as Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, BEIDOU, GALILEO, GLONASS, and QZSS. The phone’s SIM slot can hold either two nano SIM cards or one nano SIM card and one micro SD card slot.
In terms of battery life, the V27e has a 4600 mAh capacity and supports GGW Flash Charge. With light use, the phone’s battery can last for a full day and a half. During testing, the phone was used for browsing social media, taking photos and videos, playing mobile games, and using data, and still had around 30-40% battery left by the end of the day.

Decent processing speed and power
